American Golden Retrievers for sale in the UK?

Having decided to become golden retriever parents, my partner and I fell in love with an American golden we met in the park. We have since been trying to find a pup with similar American lineage but have not seen any advertisements which make the lineage of the dog clear. There are some breeders which advertise their pups a "show goldens" that's about as specific as it gets.
Any advice on the different types of golden (and their availability in the UK) would be greatly appreciated!!
