Murray's ideal home
Meet Murray, the stunning 2 year old Golden Retriever! Murray absolutely loves other dogs, so he is ideally looking for a home with a well matched, friendly and playful dog that he can live with. He could live with sensible children aged 10 years and over who are used to bigger dogs. Murray has previous history with resource guarding which can be easily managed and will be discussed with our training team! It is essential that Murray has a decent sized garden that he can zoom around in and he would like his new family to be around for the majority of the day to settle him in. Potential adopters should be happy to work with our training and behaviour team to bring out the best in Murray, which will mean multiple visits to the centre to get to know him. As we will be taking him for home visits, his new owners should live within a reasonable travel distance to the Snetterton centre. Murray does have hip dysplasia which is currently being managed well with hydrotherapy and ongoing pain relief.
Could you be Murray's perfect match?
Murray is very popular with staff at the centre, as he is a lovable boy who enjoys nothing more than being around people and dogs. He would love a family who is keen on taking him on interesting walks and doing a bit of training with him using positive reward based training only. Murray is not one to be rehomed on looks alone, he will need owners who are willing to let him de-stress from kennel life and ensure that there is a good bond there before attempting to do too much with him. Murray must be kept on a lead in public, so if you have a good sized garden or access to secure fields nearby he would love that! Murray would be rehomed with a settling in plan in place and ongoing behavioural support would be provided. With dedicated and patient adopters, he will blossom into the wonderful dog we all know and love!
