Description

Moose's ideal home

Moose is a one year old Golden Retriever. He is a sweet and playful boy; however, in a home environment he does display guarding behaviours, so he is looking for a very experienced adult only home who have dealt with these behaviours previously and can put a management plan into place. He loves a run around the field and enjoys his exercise and will be eager to go on fun adventures as he does enjoy a trip in the car.

Could you be Moose's perfect match?

Moose is a smart lad and will thrive with positive training in the home. Moose will require a room or area in the home that can be closed off, so he can eat and sleep where there will be little to no footfall going past, he cannot live in an open-plan property. He does enjoy the company of canine companions out on his walks but will need to be the only dog in the home. Moose is a beautiful boy who will thrive in a home with a stable routine. Multiple visits will be required to the centre and to the home, so ideally his home will need be within an hour and a half drive of the centre.

Petunia

  • Age: 11 years

Petunia's ideal home Petunia is a lovely older lady who is looking for her retirement home. She loves people and getting all the fuss and attention she can. Petunia has come to us with very little information so we are unsure if she is housetrained or how she would be being left on her own. We recommend this is gradually built up once she's settled into her forever home.

Golden Retriever Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Golden Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
