Description

Reggie's ideal home

Reggie is looking for a calm but active home with his best pal Juno where they can enjoy lots of outdoor adventures, fun games and get all the love, care and attention they deserve. Although they can live together, they would prefer to be the only pets in their home as they can be a little bit worried by unfamiliar dogs, especially bouncy ones! They would be happy to have calm and polite doggy buddies when out and about to share nice walks and sniffs with. They cannot live with cats as Juno is not very fond of them! Any children in the home will need to be aged 10 years and over and be confident with bigger sized dogs that can be a bit wiggly and clumsy when getting fusses and they can sometimes pull on their walks to sniff something super interesting or to meet another dog. Reggie knows all his basics and was housetrained in his previous home, but may need a little refresher after being in the kennel environment. He will need regular access to his own private and secure garden for this and for pottering and playing with his pal Juno! He can manage being left for a couple of hours on his own, but this should be introduced once he is fully settled in to his new home and has learnt his routine. Reggie and Juno will need to meet their adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted.

Could you be Reggie's perfect match?

Reggie is an absolutely gorgeous 3 and a half year old Golden Retriever who has sadly come into our care with his best pal Juno the Lurcher after his previous owner fell ill and could no longer care for them. Reggie is a real love bug who loves fusses and cuddles and will sit and receive all the love you have to offer him for as long as you will give it! He adores his pal Juno and loves to run alongside her in our big compounds before stopping to have a good roll around on his back on the grass which they also love to do together. Unlike his pal Juno who loves splashing around in our paddling pool, Reggie just likes to dip his toes and have a little drink! This pair are an absolute delight and will make such a great addition to a family who are looking to welcome a fabulous pair of pooches into their home!

Golden Retriever Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Golden Retriever.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
